Australian Customer Relationship Project Officer

As an Australian Customer Relationship Project Officer, you will proactively support the Strategic Engagement function by leading or actively supporting change management or business improvement initiatives and other business coordination activities as required to enable profitable business growth, opportunity pipeline management and capture support for Lockheed Martin in Australia and New Zealand.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and enact stakeholder engagement and coordination activities taking a holistic view of LMA’s business in Australia, and supporting cross Business Area coordination and deconfliction, strategic business alignment and prioritisation and key customer, partner and stakeholder interfaces – in particular with State and Territory Governments, Universities, Sponsorship entities and TAFE’s around event sponsorship and the regional growth strategy;
  • Actively support the management of relationships with a range of key Australian stakeholders including Australia’s Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), other Defence customers, Australian Industry Group (AiG), Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), United States Embassy and other foreign government agencies, commercial customers and think tanks;
  • Manage the collection, collation, analysis, mapping, and monitoring of relevant business data and support the continual evolution of Lockheed Martin business processes and tool sets to deliver relevant, accurate and usable business data – in particular the CASG scorecard process for Lockheed Martin program delivery;
  • Work proactively and collaboratively with the Strategic Engagement, Business Area, Global Supply Chain/OAIP, Government Affairs and Communications teams in order to gather, collate, interpret and share relevant datasets and information, and support business capture activities;
  • Identify and qualify forward looking market opportunities in order to generate long term business growth and supporting LMA strategic planning activities;
  • Provide innovative solutions to problems of unusual complexity, as well as a wide range of complex problems. Independently determine and develop an approach to solutions that are innovative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organisational objectives;
  • Attend and actively contribute to internal and external customer meetings and solutions and undertake representative duties for Lockheed Martin as required;
  • Actively lead and contribute to the successful completion of specific programs and projects.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing oversight of change and process improvement activities with LMI, other functional areas as required.

 

About you:

To be successful, you will have:-

  • Extensive professional experience in a Customer Engagement/Business Development role, in a similar environment.
  • Extensive experience and ability in understanding business requirements, identifying issues and developing relationships to achieve objectives.
  • Extensive prior exposure to and/or experience working with ADF, APS or similar.
  • Demonstrated success in consistently producing excellent results in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within approved standards, procedures and guidelines.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning/execution.
  • Experience communicating across all levels of the organisation on highly significant matters.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills and experience in the use of MS Office (in particular excel & powerpoint) and other relevant software packages and applications.
  • Significant experience providing effective guidance, mentoring and training to other employees.
  • Some bid proposal development experience is highly regarded.

Pre-requisites qualifications:-

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution and/or equivalent relevant experience (preferably within the defence industry).
  • Relevant certifications or Professional membership is highly desirable.

 

Special Requirements:

  • Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and eligible to hold & maintain CoA NV1.
