Accounts Payable Officer

The Opportunity

Our Finance Operations Branch are looking for a positive, motivated and collaborative individual to become our next Accounts Payable Officer

This opportunity will provide a platform to demonstrate your attention to detail, excellent customer service, organisational and collaboration skills.

A day in the life

This role will see you:

  • ensuring that our processes are adhered and practiced to an effective and efficient manner.
  • seeking to meet and exceed timely payment of invoices and provide the business with advice on account related queries.
  • actively developing strategic working relationships across the business including external suppliers.
  • providing valuable input into the improvement, implementation and management of our payable systems.
  • ensuring optimum payment dates are met in order to improve cash flow.

To succeed in this role, we will need you to have:

  • Experience and/or knowledge in all aspects of accounts payable processes
  • Sound understanding of modern supply chain concepts and supporting systems and technologies
  • Proven experience in working with internal and external partners views and requirements
  • Well-developed computer skills including proficiency in the usage of Microsoft Office applications
  • High organisational skills and the ability to balance time and resources effectively.

Bonus if you have

  • Current (or progressing towards) tertiary qualifications in logistics & supply, Accounting or a related discipline
  • Experience using SAP or Oracle Financial system
