The Gruyere gold deposit in Western Australia is one of Australia’s most exciting new gold mine site.  Gold Road Resources and Gold Fields are proud to have an established 50/50 JV partnership over Gruyere. 

With Gold Fields as the JV manager, the team at Gruyere has hit the ground running.


Role Details

Reporting to the Unit Manager: Commercial, you will provide support to the business in the key areas of information, communication and technology systems and management.

This role is offered on an 8 day on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the strong safety culture and performance of Gold Fields and ensures that the Vital Behaviours program is supported and strengthened;
  • Installing and maintaining operating systems, network and application software on desktops and other devices using corporate image builds;
  • Installing and maintaining computer hardware, including media drives, printers and peripheral devices on desktops and other devices;
  • Ensure minimal disruptions to productivity through the provision of timely and effective assistance and advice service to clients accessing the support function;
  • Receiving and responding to help desk telephone and email requests for assistance; Investigating and resolving hardware and software faults;
  • Tracking the progress of requests and liaising with clients as necessary; and,
  • Consistently demonstrate and reflect behaviours, actions, and attitudes in line with the Gold Field’s Vision, Values and Code of Ethics.  Actively promote Gold Field’s policies, procedures, and systems relating to your area of responsibility.


Key factors to your success include:

  • Diploma level qualifications in IT support (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 years of operational experience in desktop computer support
  • Exposure to a remote, site-based role in the resources industry would be highly regarded
