Chorus was formed in 2017 by the merge of three established WA care providers, Care Options, Community First International and Volunteer Task Force. We are an Australian

not-for-profit organisation providing services in Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health and Volunteering. About The Role:

We are currently seeking applications for a highly motivated Home Maintenance Worker to join our Gardening & Home Maintenance team, based in Wanneroo. You will be required to travel to multiple client's homes within the Wanneroo region to complete maintenance requests. These requests could include installing and hanging items around the home, changing light bulbs, minor repairs, cleaning windows, and other adhoc duties as required. You will also be required to assist our gardening team where needed.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in providing home maintenance to customers or experience in a trade with transferable skills;
  • Demonstrated skills in garden maintenance;
  • Fantastic customer service skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people with differing needs;
  • A genuine desire to want to make a difference in the community;
  • The ability to work as an individual and in a team;
  • Strong communication skills both written, interpersonal and verbal;
  • A safety first approach to ensure safety and wellbeing of yourself, the customers and the team;
  • The desire to learn and develop skills and experience within the Chorus service delivery model;
  • A commitment to completing on the job training within stated timelines.

Prerequisites:

  • Current National Police Clearance with 6 months or less currency or willingness to apply for and provide one prior to commencing employment;
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence with no restrictions;
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate with 12 months or less currency.
