An exciting opportunity exists for a Maintenance Officer to join our friendly and dynamic team. Each day is different, and this role will see you work within a supportive team environment whilst undertaking a variety of tasks, consequently growing your capabilities at work
Work hours will for example be on average 4 days/week, or 6 hours/day, 5 days/week. On call after hours and occasional call ins are shared with other maintenance officers
As the Maintenance Officer your responsibilities will include:
  • General maintenance and upkeep of hospital grounds and facilities
  • Compliance with legislative requirements and Australian Standards
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • General repairs around the facility in accordance with your qualifications and experience
  • Liaise with and organise external trade contractors where required

Essential Criteria:
  • Prior and substantial experience working in a similar role that entails handyman type work in a variety of areas
  • Ability to work independently and manage own responsibilities
  • Competent in using a variety of tools and equipment
  • Ability to undertake the inherent requirements of the role including all aspects of site maintenance
  • Friendly and considerate manner
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Reliable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Current drivers licence
  • Understanding of safe work practices WHS procedures
Desirable Criteria:
  • Qualification in a relevant trade such as plumbing where experience working on maintenance issues in large buildings is gained
  • Knowledge of facility management software
