Zebra Metals and Environmental services are seeking an experienced Operations Manger to join our team.Zebra Metals provide deconstruction, demolition, waste removal, material transfer and site clean up services to Central Queensland and Northern Territory.
The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of all areas of the organisation through the provision of effective methods and strategies. This role includes extensive travel.
A fully maintained company car, phone and laptop will be supplied.
Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of remote sites in the organisation.
Improve processes and policies in support of organisational goals. Monitor adherence to Policy, Procedure and Regulations
Monitor performance and implement improvements. Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity. Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery.
Manage customer support. Plan and support sales and marketing activities.
Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans.
Understanding of WH&S requirements in the workplace
Essential Skills and Knowledge
Experience within the Scrap Metal Industry
Experience in Metal and Waste Management
Knowledge of Logistics (Truck) Operations
Minimum 3 years experience in Operations management role or similar
Experience with project management and off site locations
Demonstrate problem solving skills
Exceptional planning and organising skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to influence and lead a team and encourage effective team work.
Possess a high stress tolerance
