The Role

We’re currently seeking an ambitious and unique Premium Officer to join our Premium Team based in Melbourne CBD. As a Premium Officer you take ownership of managing the policy lifecycle for VIC Workers’ Compensation product offerings including quotes, processing policy information, generating renewals, premium forecasting and issuing certificates of currency.

You will be working in a fast paced, challenging and supportive environment within a high achieving team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engaging proactively with customers, intermediaries and internal stakeholders.
  • Liaise with employers and help them register new WorkCover policies.
  • Provide quotes, set up cover notes and register additional worksites under existing policies.
  • Provide necessary premium projections and simulations.
  • Reviewing WorkCover Industry Classifications in accordance to the Premium Orders to ensure correct calculations of Premium
  • Assist employers with all other miscellaneous information requests and changes.
  • Support the achievements of CGU’s objectives by demonstrating effective teamwork, being proactive and by contributing to the on-going improvement of the VIC Workers Compensation team.

Skills & Experience

·         Previous experience as an Premium Officer and/or some exposure to the current  Workers’ Compensation environment (desirable)

  • Strong and proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent time management and decision making skills.

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·         High attention to detail.

·         An inquisitive nature and an appetite to learn.
