The College of Law is looking for a talented leader to join the team at our Perth office.

Purpose of the position

The Executive Director is responsible for leading and growing COLWA's operations, ensuring the achievement of the Group's strategic and local goals, in parallel with local governance structures whilst adhering to the College's various national governance and compliance requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and lead the implementation of COLWA's annual business plan in alignment with the strategic goals of the wider College
  • Achieve revenue and enrolment targets for COLWA
  • Develop and effectively manage COLWA budget
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with regulatory bodies, the judiciary, Universities, Law students and the Profession in general.
  • Oversee the operation of the local WA Chapter Board
  • Grow the College’s businesses in Western Australia and implement and grow new legal education markets
  • Effective leadership and management of the WA College team to ensure a high performance and a positive culture

Experience, Skills and Attributes

  • A tertiary qualification in law or education (preferably at Masters level) or in pursuit thereof, or equivalent senior professional experience.
  • Senior Executive awareness of the education and training needs and dynamics of the Western Australian legal profession
  • Leadership experience in a professional (preferably, legal) education environment
  • Leadership applied in various contexts including organisational management and planning, staff and students
  • Experience in developing and managing relationships with business partners, law firms and government authorities
  • Proven skills managing successful and harmonious teams
  • Experience and skills in the application of information technology in an educational context
