Customer Service/ Member Services Support Officer - Parramatta - $27 per hour +

Our client was established in 1922 and provide assistance to NSW Schools, due to staff movement they have a newly created opportunity for an experienced Office Assistant/ Member Services Consultant to join their team.

Supporting the Member services team you will be used to working in an inbound customer support role where you will be sourcing information for your customers. 

Responsibilities 
  • Providing advice over the phone in regards to the operation of our clients organisation.
  • Provides member services including answering telephone enquiries, responding to email enquiries and supporting staff with detailed advice on their operations where required.
  • Data entry utilising the software system to log all calls and enquiries including sales of merchandise and annual association records.
  • Provide training across a number of different mediums as required.
  • Draft correspondence for the signature of the General Manager.
  • Draft and support the drafting of policies/guidance statements for P&C Federation members.
  • Assist in the publication and distribution of the Journal, mail-outs and other publications, including liaising and negotiating with publishers, printers and external mailing groups.
  • Monitor the website and other social media presence to ensure content is current and appropriate.
  • Support travel and accommodation arrangements as required by the General Manager.
 
Key skills
  • Proven experience in a similar role. Min 2 years.
  • Experience working in Customer Service or member services positions
  • Strong communication both written and verbal
  • Experience in development and delivery of training packages across a number of different mediums.
  • Intermediate to advance skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and Publisher.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use Office 365 as well as OneDrive, SharePoint, Planner etc.
  • Strong organisation and relationship building skills
  • Ability to problem solve and have a can-do attitude
  • Confident to manage an office along with supporting at a high level
  • Experience with social media and publications.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
(Our client uses iMIS, however, knowledge of iMIS is not essential).

Desirable
  • An interest in public education.
  • Knowledge and experience in not for profit organisations.
