Materials and Logistics Coordinator

The purpose of the Materials and Logistics Coordinator position is to deliver measurable value to Toll through the provision of efficient, reliable, and safe operations for Chevron Australia (Customer) Specifically Chevron Drilling and Completions. The position is responsible for:

  • Coordination of materials and logistics requirements for the Customer at their Gap Ridge facility.
  • The movement of goods between Customer’s offshore facilities and onshore sites.
  • Liaising with the Customer Materials & Logistics Coordinators plus site representatives to ensure that daily work requirements are planned and executed appropriately.

The Primary Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Plan and allocate resources and supervise daily activities to ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with policy, procedures and legislative requirements (including drug and alcohol policy).
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all transport and logistics documentation including: vessel manifests, truck manifests, and the receipt of inbound goods in Customer’s inventory management systems.
  • Supervise the receivables, dispatch and freight processing of Customer goods in accordance with Toll procedures and Chain of Responsibility legislation.
  • Conduct pre-start and toolbox meetings as required.
  • Ensure hazardous substances and dangerous goods are handled, stored and transported in accordance with the requirements of Toll procedures and applicable legislative provisions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to see improvements in safety, people, service, quality and cost for the benefits of our customers and Toll.
  • Be prepared to undertake any other task that may be reasonably required from time to time for which you are capable of performing.
  • Ensure that all work is performed safely and that an ongoing commitment to safety is maintained including proactive actions to identify and reduce workplace hazards.
  • Take personal responsibility for the safety of yourself and others at work and avoid adversely affecting the environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Drilling and Completions experience.
  • Tubular Management Experience - Type, Size, Supplier knowledge and Management of Tubulars for Running, Storage and Preservation activities.
  • Knowledge of well establishment process and sequence of materials being called forward to Rig.
  • Supply and logistics knowledge; experience in the offshore oil and gas industry and transport sector.
  • Warehousing & distribution knowledge of freight movements for non-standard freight (i.e. less than a truck/container load; full truck/container load; and out-of-gauge and heavy loads).
  • Familiar with logistics documentation (e.g. consignment notes, freight manifests, packing lists, and quarantine documentation).
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Intermediate computer skills using MS Office applications and data entry experience.
  • Experience in handling (accepting, packing, and consigning) and shipping of dangerous goods by air, ocean, and road transport.
  • Driver’s Licence (WA)
  • High Risk Work Licence - Forklift
  • Dogman certificate, First Aid certificate, Dangerous Goods certification (DG by Air, DG by Sea, and DG by Road) (Desirable)
  • Police check - less than 6 months old
  • Able to pass the Pre Employment Medicals
