We are seeking an exceptional solution consultant, to join our team based in Melbourne.

Solution Consultant (Melbourne)

We have a vacancy available in our Melbourne office for an experienced solution consultant. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, you will support the Australasian sales team on pre-sales initiatives to deliver high quality outcomes.

The core focus of the role is to engage with prospects and identify their eCommerce requirements and scope a high quality solution. Your role encompasses the entire pre-sales process from technical discovery and requirements gathering, right through implementation and through to handover.  You will be part of a consultative sales process whose core focus is to drive new business opportunities across Australia and New Zealand.

This role demands commercial aptitude, excellent organisational skills and an ability to negotiate with the client and understand the value proposition, as well as having exceptional product and technical knowledge. Your attention to detail will be second to none but having an eCommerce, technical, digital, solutions or retail background is most critical in order to succeed in this role. If you thrive under pressure then this is the role for you.

You will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • A minimum 5 year’s experience in technical pre sales, preferably within the retail, eCommerce or digital space
  • A client and sales oriented attitude
  • Be able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines

Our ideal candidate would have:

  • Exceptional customer service, organisational, negotiation and consultative sales skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (you will be responsible for RFPs and sales documentation)
  • A sales focus for up-selling and cross-selling and staying ahead of the eCommerce/digital curve
  • Passion about what they do and the digital and technology space
  • High attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to accurately articulate clients’ needs to developers / and conversely clearly articulate solution deliverables to clients.
  • Experience in solution selling to  C-level, eCommerce or Digital Managers, and IT Managers and business owners and technology stakeholders.
