About the Role
The energy transformation team is principally responsible for advising on and managing all matters relating to opportunities in emissions, carbon to value products and new energy production solutions. As a Transformation Scientist, you will provide the native, scientific evaluation capability, to explore the art of the possible and map pathways to technical advantage for Woodside.
Duties & Responsibilities
Your primary remit will be to independently conduct quantitative analysis, of technical options, for all of Woodside’s operational emissions. With new energy production as your end state, you will provide cross functional technical and scientific guidance, whilst promoting effective collaboration between Woodside’s business units and external partners. By leveraging your expert scientific knowledge and fostering relationships with a broad research community, you will ultimately drive the development of alternative emission solutions that are a commercially viable as they are socially responsible.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified in biochemistry or similar and boast significant experience in a comparable role. You will require highly developed research and quantitative analysis skills, while also being able to view findings from a strategic and commercial viability perspective. The ability to promote cooperation, amongst both internal and external ecosystems will be vital to your success. Applicants with a proven capacity to think strategically, exercise discretion, work autonomously and have a natural proclivity to disrupt traditional thinking will be best aligned the performance profile of this team.
