Junior HR Administration Assistant

So, who is this fabulous company you ask? We are VetPartners, and our family includes over 137 successful veterinary practices throughout Australia and New Zealand. An opportunity exists for a HR Administrator to join our growing family. This role would suit someone with 1-2 years experience.

Reporting directly into the HR Director, you will be the first point of contact for all clinics. You need to be able to adapt to a changing and growing work environment and will be an essential member of our HR team of 4 and will work in a hands on environment where multi-tasking is the norm. Not one day will be the same.

Your role and responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Generate standard employment contracts, letters of offer and variations across Australia and New Zealand - Main function.
  • Maintain relevant and accurate employee records
  • Maintaining employee files and running reports.
  • Conduct all Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) checks on all Team Members who are not Australian Citizens.
  • Manage the end to end Parental Leave application process for all Team Members.
  • Assist in the Workers Compensation Process Australia Wide
  • Assist in the Performance Management Process
  • Assist the HR team with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned.

 

Key competencies to succeed in the role include:

  • Tertiary or TAFE qualifications in HR would be highly regarded
  • Whilst not essential, previous experience in HR would be an advantage
  • A strong and pro-active work ethic combined with a dedicated attitude
  • Knowledge of the National Employment Standards in line with the Fair Work Act 2009 would be advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and contribute towards a dynamic team environment
  • Results oriented and self-motivated
