Compliance Assistant

Opportunity overview

Reporting to the Head of Compliance Australia & New Zealand (NZ), the role involves the provision of administrative support to 3 Compliance Vice Presidents - Head of Compliance Australia & NZ, Head of AML Japan, Asia Pacific, Australia and NZ (JAPA) , and Head of GMS Compliance JAPA.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Administrative professional / Executive Assistant who is interested in expanding their skills and knowledge within the area of Compliance, or a recent graduate with a strong interest in potentially launching their career within Compliance.
 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provision of administrative support including calendar management, organising travel arrangements & team meetings, timely preparation of expense reports in accordance with internal policies, management of department purchases (Stationary, PC, Hardware & Software) including management of invoices & reconciliations
  • Provision of support to the Market Compliance team with day-to-day compliance processes & activities
  • Ad hoc projects/tasks as assigned by the Head of Compliance Australia & NZ
  • Liaising with other Executive Assistants across the Organisation of departmental colleague related activities

Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting or working with senior executives in an administrative capacity
  • Prior experience supporting or working within a compliance / AML function will be highly regarded, however not essential
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy, quality, timeliness and follow through
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and complete work in a timely fashion against firm deadlines.
  • Strong relationship skills, with ability to work with colleagues of all levels of leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information.
