Leasing Executive, Suburban Shopping Centres

An outstanding opportunity has arisen within our Leasing team to undertake a 12-month full-time contract with the possibility of extension and\or permanency as a Leasing Executive, Suburban Shopping Centres.

Reporting to the Leasing Manager, this role will assist in  maximising investment returns through strategic leasing in line with agreed business plans.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Sourcing, negotiating, contracting, monitoring and following-up with retailers that meet the asset vision and brand strategy.
  • Developing and implementing a leasing plan to achieve agreed objectives in conjunction with PMs.
  • Development and implementation of leasing strategies, including tenancy mix strategies.
  • Liaison with tenants, external retail leasing agents and tenant representatives.
  • Working with PMs to prepare leasing forecasts and budgets.
  • Assisting with the management of all legal and insurance requirements pertaining to leases.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • Qualifications, training and development in shopping centre leasing, or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience in shopping centre leasing dealing directly with retailers.
  • Demonstrated initiative with the ability to exercise judgment and resolve issues independently.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication with the ability to negotiate, influence and resolve conflict.
  • Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities, the need for improvement and implement change.
