Business Development Manager

Our Opportunity

The primary purpose of this exciting role is to maintain existing relationships as well as creating new key relationships and prospects. You will represent Aqura's entire range of products and services while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring business objectives and expectations are met.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Identify, quantify, qualify and close opportunities within assigned territory
  • Expand Aqura’s footprint with new accounts
  • Maintain and build existing customer base to ensure customer satisfaction and build an ongoing revenue stream
  • Deliver pipeline forecasts, including commit, likely, best case, and prospect numbers 
  • Partner / OEM Relationship management
  • Advanced sales negotiation skills and asserting Aqura solution value proposition during contract negotiations.
  • Manage end to end sales processes in large deals
  • Demonstrate breadth and depth of knowledge in aligning Aqura capabilities to customer business priorities
  • Advocate for client needs during sales cycle and in addressing any delivery / account management issues
  • Build account plans that include both short and long-term objectives and actively pursue them on a regular, measured basis
  • Identify key areas of growth based on market intelligence to identify continuing or new business opportunities  
  • Have a hands-on approach to technology, researching current market and technology trends with the ability to demonstrate the technology to potential clients.
  • Meet and exceed predefined, agreed sales targets

  • Team player with the ability to build excellent working relationships to attain company (mutual) goals
  • Self-motivated, confident, energetic and creative
  • Effectively communicate and make best use of interpersonal skills
  • Highly developed relationship management skills 
  • Astute commercial acumen skills applied to the Communications industry
  • Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite of products, Salesforce and SharePoint
  • Shown success selling and developing new business selling products in a related field
  • Be target driven with a hunting attitude, also coming from a successful solution selling background.
  • Thorough understanding of established HSEQ systems and principles
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications preferably in Communications and IT, Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum five years of strategic sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment, preferably in the technology sector
