About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Customer Service Officer to join our dynamic team.  Reporting to the Customer Service Team Leaders and Manager, this role includes a variety of functions, including providing Intake services to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

In the Intake function, you will primarily be responsible for:

  • Delivering over the phone assessments to ascertain eligibility for services
  • Coordinating services in line with care plans, funding and organisational guidelines
  • Providing information to clients and refer to relevant services as required.

About you

We are looking for a person who can demonstrate:

  • Alignment with Uniting’s values
  • A minimum two years’ experience in customer facing and telephone enquiries from a diverse client and stakeholder base
  • Strong customer service focus and work ethic
  • Ability to develop rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent verbal and active listening skills
  • Confidence and experience in using a Client Information System
  • Good experience in using MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; and attention to detail
  • Certificate IV in administration, social services or office administration
