Cairns Based - Full Time Fixed Term

Program Development is about taking a great idea and making it even better! Our team deploys leading edge practices to drive the organisation's projects, navigating them through our innovation model. The team works across the strategy, design, build, implement and operate phases to deliver new products and services that delight our customers.

About the Role

The Curriculum Developer will own and coordinate the delivery of projects and follow the organisation's innovation model to deliver projects on time and in line with client expectations. 

The major functions of this role are:

  • Develop innovation and continuous improvement projects;
  • Lead small to medium scale projects;
  • Support team members to ensure the innovation model is fully embedded in all aspects of the project work across the organisation; and
  • Assist the stream manager to deliver all aspects of innovation e.g. update the project schedule to ensure all projects are maintained and all milestones are met.

Applicants must demonstrate experience in the following selection criteria:

Essential criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in education, business, economics, engineering, public policy or a related discipline;
  • Knowledge of Direct Instruction and Explicit Direct Instruction models
  • Strong track record of successful project delivery, including managing multiple projects concurrently;
  • Experience in project scheduling; including activity definition, duration estimating and activity scheduling;
  • Experience in coordinating cross-functional team members;
  • Experience in leading and undertaking business and/or social policy related research, analysis and design;
  • Strong writing skills in business cases, briefs and presentations;
  • Exceptional research, communication skills (oral and written), IT skills (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint), and strong organisational and time management skills;
  • Willingness to travel away from base location to spend time visiting regional and remote areas of Australia;
  • Ability to obtain a working with children check (QLD Blue Card); and
  • Ability to obtain a successful police check.
