The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, intuitive and highly motivated Wedding and Events Coordinator to join the Hotel’s Sales & Events Team. Reporting directly to the Conference and Events Sales Manager, you will draw on your experience to efficiently manage and coordinate the end to end planning of weddings and social events from initial contact through to the big day itself! 

 

This is a very exciting and varied role which requires excellent organisational, multi-tasking and world-class communication skills. The role will be suitable for a Junior Coordinator looking to take the next step with luxury brand, Emporium Hotel South Bank! Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and coordinate the end to end planning of wedding, social and corporate events
  • Promptly respond to incoming conference and event enquiries
  • Achieve revenue targets by implementing selling strategies to maximise event revenue
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients to develop future business
  • Host site inspections and attend trade shows and networking events as required
  • Monitor and enter all database information, ensuring accuracy
  • Undertake regular market research on key competitor activity
  • Assist with all administrative departmental duties

 

About You!

  • A minimum of one years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Outstanding personal presentation and attention to detail
  • The ability to work a Tuesday-Saturday roster
  • Proven ability to work under pressure to exceed Guest expectations within a five-star, luxury hotel environment
