Senior Environment & Community Coordinator

About the Business

Moolarben Coal Operations is a joint venture operated by Yancoal Australia Limited in Mudgee, New South Wales. With the vision to become one of the country’s largest and most technologically advanced coal mining companies, Yancoal is growing organically and through targeted acquisition. The Moolarben Coal Operations consist of an Underground Coal Mine, Open Cut Coal Mine and CHPP approved to produce a total 24Mtpa Run of Mine (ROM).

Job Tasks & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Environment and Community Manger, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. The role will require you to:

  • Provide robust technical advice in relation to approvals, property and environmental management.
  • Employ your excellent interpersonal skills when liaising with internal and external stakeholders and co-ordinate environment and property works.
  • Manage contractors and consultants from scope preparation to project completion.
  • Prepare and review technical environmental reports and property related documentation.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years’ relevant experience in a similar role within the resources industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Experience with property and planning approvals highly regarded.
