Admissions Manager/Registrar

Braemar College is an independent, co-educational and ecumenical school for students in Years 5 to 12. The College has two campuses, both of which are located near Woodend, less than an hour from Melbourne’s CBD.

The role of Registrar is pivotal, within the College. It leads the processes of enrolment and admissions for our students. Working closely with the Leadership team regarding all stages of the enrolment process from promotions, advertising, initial enquiry, application, selection offer and commencement.  Supports other components including scholarship process, school tours and the marketing strategies of the College. The position is responsible for establishing strong links to our parent body and the wider community through these key functions. The role is responsible to the Principal and in the first instance, this position reports to the Business Manager.

People interested in this role will be expected to demonstrate the capacity to:

  • Manage the enrolment process from initial enquiry to admissions and completion at the College;
  • Ensure enrolment and marketing processes reflect the Strategic Plan for the College;
  • Analyse and report on relevant data related to admissions and enrolments and demographics;
  • Ensure accuracy of family and student data for Government reporting;
  • Provide data to inform the strategic direction of the College;
  • Foster and maintain collaborative working relationships within the Educational Support Team.
  • Uphold the Ethos and values of the College.

About You:

It is expected that you will:

  • Have proven excellence in customer service.
  • Knowledge of the approaches to managing records and /or database management with accurate data entry skills.
  • Exposure to the practical application of the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) would be an advantage.
  • Have experience in an education setting and/or professional communities
  • Have a current Working with Children Check.
  • Have appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience as a leader.
