A little about the role

DPV Health Disability Services are registered with NDIS providing support services to people with a disability and their families living in Melbourne’s North. We are passionate about what we do. We go above and beyond ensuring that our customer service standards are exceptional. We offer a unique service different to anyone else, focusing on providing a holistic approach, working closely with our clients and their families to ensure that each client feels supported and understood.
 

We currently have part time and casual positions available based in South Morang.  We require availability between Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 3:15pm

As a Personal Care Attendant with DPV Health you will be required to provide support including:

  • Personal hygiene and appearance
  • Maintain a physical and psychosocial environment that promotes safety, security and optimal health for participants.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Assist Disability Instructors with administration of prescribed medication.
  • Assist with meal preparation and supporting clients to have their meals and drinks including peg feeding

About you

To be considered for this role, you will need the following

  • Desired - Certificate III in one of the following areas, individual Support, Aged Care, Home & Community care, or Disability.
  • A current First Aid Level 2 Certificate.
  • Medication Administration, Manual Handling & Infection Control certification
  • PEG Feeding certification
  • Managing Epilepsy certification
  • Tracheostomy certification
  • Current food handling certificate
