Trainee Mobile Manufacturing Unit Operator - Whyalla SA
 
About the Role
 
Stellar Recruitment is currently seeking expressions of interest for Trainee Mobile Manufacturing Operators in Whyalla or surrounding areas. 
These positions are drive in and out (DIDO) / residential and will commence on a 2/1 roster.
Successful candidates must live within 50km of Whyalla for fatigue reasons. Our client will consider looking at applicants outside of the fatigue boundary with residential accommodation being provided.
Mobile Manufacturing Units (MMU) are specialized heavy rigid vehicles that mix and deliver blast product into pre-drilled blast holes on the bench, at a mine site. 
As a trainee operator and through extensive training you will develop your skills and technical knowledge of our client's equipment and be trained how to operate safely and efficiently.
 
What you will be doing
  • Training to operate our client's Mobile Manufacturing Units
  • Assisting with preventative maintenance
  • Assist with the delivery of explosive products down pre-drilled blast holes on bench
  • Working in a team environment to meet customer expectations
  • Adhering to our client's site safety and other policies and procedures
  • Acting with integrity and respect whilst always striving to excel in your duties
  •  
What you bring
  • Mechanical aptitude with the capability, to safely and effectively operate relevant equipment;
  • A valid Heavy Rigid Manual (HR) Licence Essential
  • The ability to pass all relevant security checks to obtain a Dangerous Goods Drivers Licence and Dangerous Goods Security Card
  • Current High-Risk Work Licence - Fork Lift
  • Solid Computer, Literacy & Numeracy Skills
