Communications Operator

An exciting opportunity exists in a small Tasmanian Company for a Communications Operator on a casual basis.

A minimum of 12 hours a week, which could lead to more, and the ability to work extra hours when staff are on holidays is a requirement.  Flexible working conditions.

The position involves answering the initial call from clients, explaining the services and charges if required, processing the information and scheduling of the job, liasing with our staff and monitoring the daily schedule.

The position requires a person who can take charge and is competent in a communications position.

The position can be challenging at times and is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for the opportunity to work within a locally owned and growing business.

Roles and Responsibilities

Handling incoming calls and enquiries, including job bookings by phone and email

Scheduling, coordinating and updating jobs

Reviewing and overseeing the daily job schedule

Data entry and electronic filing

General administrative duties to support management

Developing relationships with existing and new clients

Operate independently (a must) and also as part of a team

Provide fantastic customer service (a must) and must be well presented

Liase with clients in a professional and friendly manner.

Skills

Experience in administration with a strong focus on customer service

Great communication skills

Must have the ability to multi task and be flexible in the roles you must perform

Must be able to follow instructions and show eagerness to learn

Must work well under pressure

Be an organised person and ideally have experience in Microsoft Office, Google Drive and Email
