Health and Lifestyle Coordinator FIFO

HEALTH AND LIFESTYLE COORDINATOR - FIFO - 2/1 ROSTER

MUST HAVE PREVIOUS FIFO EXPERIENCE TO APPLY

The HLC is to also provide village residents with varied activity program, this could include sporting competitions, learn to swim, stroke technique, quiz nites, movie nights, pool/darts competitions, chess competitions, raffle nights. Organise social activities including visiting bands, theme nights and regular events that celebrate major milestones. This weekly newsletter is also be monitored.

Develop a management plan that will ensure all areas, equipment and services meet all safety standards.

Compile an asset register that ensure all equipment purchased and discarded is accountable at all times. Submit request to Management for all new equipment purchases.

Detail a maintenance program to ensure all equipment is served and maintained in good order and condition. Ensure proper instructions are available for all sporting and recreational equipment. Daily checks and cleaning of all areas and equipment.

Provide fitness-training program to ensure the correct use of all gymnasium equipment.

Offer basic advice on nutrition and weight loss-weight gain. Offer courses in lifestyle changes eg, stretch and relaxation, weight loss quitting smoking. Where required work in conjunction with the paramedic, physiotherapist and off site medical practitioners to offer residents remedial programs for injuries to ensure a quick return to full health. Provide ergonomic assessments of the administration workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate qualification or higher in a Health and Life style Education or related course
  • Including current First Aid and CPR certificates

    EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in the provision of training to staff, preferably with a safety focus;

     OTHER

  • All staff are required to undergo and pass a medical assessment to ensure they are ‘fit for work’ prior to commencing work at the site.
  • All staff are required to undergo a Police check prior to commencing work at site. 
  • All staff must undertake a range of site specific inductions prior to commencing work at the site, the number and type of inductions will relate to the work duties performed.
