About the role:

We are looking for a committed and passionate Marketing Coordinator to join QAL’s Business Development and Marketing Team.

The Marketing Coordinator is a newly created role to support the Marketing team with a wide range of marketing functions including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing and social media for all QAL Airports.

The successful candidate will have a passion for tourism and aviation, be able to multitask and handle multiple diverse projects at once and thrive in a fast paced, high performing team.  

Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Coordination and assistance in developing a range of marketing campaigns with Queensland Airport Limited partners and marketing team, including collateral development, monitoring job workflow and creative requests as well as ensuring campaign deadlines are met.
  • Preparation of copy and content for QAL group collateral, including e-marketing activities, brochures, advertorial content.
  • Coordination of merchandising requirements for Queensland Airports Limited Group marketing activities.
  • Provision of marketing support to QAL’s Commercial department for retail and car park, assisting to manage a marketing calendar with activities and activations in the terminals throughout the year.
  • Support and provide assistance in the implementation of the company’s brand strategy.
  • Development of content updates for QAL’s websites, to ensure information is kept up to date and opportunities are effectively leveraged.
  • Support the execution of Queensland Airports Limited, social media strategy including content generation, scheduling organic and paid posts, monitoring performance, and gathering insights to optimise for future campaigns.
  • Ability to direct agency partners and graphic designers to create advertising banners, visual social media assets, and other marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Ensure all QAL marketing related finance and administration requirements are up to date.

 

 

What you will bring to the role;

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Tourism and/or Marketing/Communications.
  • Minimum two years work experience in a marketing role.
  • Advanced computer skills – particularly in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience within the tourism /aviation industry.
  • Understanding of website maintenance using Content Management Systems (CMS) including WordPress, Webflow, Silverstripe or similar.
  • Proven capability in managing social media accounts, digital/visual media design and experience in use of a marketing automation platform i.e. Salesforce.
