Employment Consultant

About this position….

DSA Packaging Solutions, a division of DSA, directly employs over 500 people with disability to perform a broad range of jobs for our valued customers, many of which are well known national and international brands.

As an Employment Consultant you will provide dedicated, personalised support and vocational training to people with a disability to assist them to acquire new skills and maintain their employment.

To suit this position you will have….

  • Experience supporting people with disability, including vocational skill acquisition;
  • Experience in supporting people with disability to achieve their goals an aspirations;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including working positively with others, problem solving and dealing with workplace conflict;
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service and work in a fast paced, changing environment where no two days are the same;
  • An understanding of contemporary human services theory (eg. strength-based person centred support) (preferable)
  • Have a sound understanding of the NDIS including the Quality and Safeguards framework (preferable)
  • Minimum Cert III in Disability or a degree in Social Work/Human Services qualification (preferable)
