KRS Health Family Medical are seeking a casual Medical Receptionist & Admin Support team member. This position is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about working in healthcare, is passionate about customer service and enjoys working in a fast-paced dynamic team environment. You will be rewarded with a great working environment where your skills and initiative will be valued. Full training will be provided to the right candidate.


About the role:

  • Casual position available, must have flexibility to cover sick leave and holiday leave.
  • Must have availability to work shifts Monday to Saturday
  • Will be required to work from either of our two practice sites
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy when recording and maintaining patient, clinic and service information
  • Maintain confidentiality of company operational, personnel and financial details as well as patient privacy
  • Ensure all patients and visitors are received in a friendly, prompt and helpful manner, either face to face or over the phone


Key responsibilities:

  • General reception and admin duties – handling telephone enquiries, meeting and greeting patients, booking appointments, managing waiting times, managing the mail, fax and incoming email, banking, general housekeeping etc.
  • Invoicing and receipting of patient and company accounts
  • Managing clinical reports (distribution, uploading etc).
  • Assisting the clinical staff with patient flow & clinical administration (including confidential medical information)


About you:

  • Strong customer service focus, with a friendly, patient and professional manner
  • Be compassionate and have a caring disposition
  • Ability to multitask and use initiative
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work harmoniously within a team and autonomously when needed
  • Organised with good time management skills
  • Have an eye for detail and desire for things to be accurate and complete
  • Be well presented
  • Maintain confidentiality of company operational, personnel and financial details as well as patient privacy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong computer skills 
  • Previous proven experience in medical practice is not required but highly regarded.
  • Experience with medical software Medical Director and Pracsoft or any other clinical information system would be advantageous
  • Must have a current driver’s licence and own transport.
