About Us

WA Primary Health Alliance is the peak planning and commissioning body for primary health care services in WA, with an annual turnover exceeding $100 million.

We oversee the strategic commissioning functions of WA's three Primary Health Networks: Perth North, Perth South and Country WA.

The organisation's primary objective is to improve health outcomes and patient experiences through the commissioning of appropriate services where they are most needed. Our place-based approach ensures we engage meaningfully with local health professionals, service providers and communities to help us achieve our aim of improving access to primary care treatment and support services. 

The role

The Content Marketing Specialist develops and implements innovative and effective content marketing plans and undertakes other activities that raise WAPHA’s profile, build support and deepen understanding of its aims and help achieve its strategic objectives.

This role requires a skilled writer who is highly experienced in content development, and can manage all aspects of social media.

The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for the following activities and others, as directed by the Corporate Affairs Advisor:

  • Implement the content marketing strategy, including monitoring performance and making the necessary changes to ensure objectives and targets are met.
  • Establish a content planning system and manage workflow, content inventories, and scheduling.
  • Manage and maintain the organisation’s social media channels and campaigns.
  • Create, repurpose and edit high-quality written content marketing assets tailored for multiple channels - including print, social and web.
  • Translate often complex topics into easy to understand copy, supported by interesting storytelling.
  • Actively promote and nurture two-way conversations and develop stakeholder and community engagement through our social channels.
  • Contribute to external and internal newsletters, and editorial submissions.
  • Be a centre of excellence in the organisation in the creation of marketing automation, workflows and campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to produce high-quality content.
  • Monitor and report on social engagement metrics to identify and communicate clear, tangible insights which help to produce more relevant and compelling content.

This is a full time role based in our Rivervale office. 

About you

The successful candidate will meet the following selection criteria:

  • At least seven years’ experience as a journalist/ content creator / copywriter, with the ability to story tell and build audiences.
  • Considerable experience in planning, developing and supporting content strategies and strategic marketing communication programs.
  • The ability to build online relationships with key stakeholders, influencers and contributing to the online conversation.
  • A good understanding and hands on experience of marketing software to manage content scheduling, website content, campaigns and analytics.
  • Experience of running direct marketing campaigns, with proven success in reaching difficult to target audiences.
  • Experience of running social media campaigns to target general but also niche audiences, including effectively and sensitively responding to comments and complaints.
  • Experience in monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of content, identifying and actioning improvements.
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as PR, communications, or marketing.

Experience in the healthcare, government and not-for-profit sectors is desirable but not required.
