Assistant Commissioner of Police

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Remuneration Package $269,287)

Fixed vacancy for up to 4 years

The Northern Territory Police Force seeks to appoint an exceptional leader as an Assistant Commissioner of Police to work closely with the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners of Police to lead and drive change within the police force and contribute as part of the senior executive team for the broader Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services (NTPFES).

The Northern Territory Police Force (NTPF)

The NTPF employs approx 1,500 police officers including Auxiliaries and Aboriginal Community Police Officers and approximately 350 public sector staff to deliver policing services to a geographically and culturally diverse community of 245,000 people.

The NTPF works in partnership with the community and other government agencies to provide policing services to build safer communities, maintain social order, uphold the law and manager road safety programs, education and enforcement.

The Role

An exceptional, passionate and committed leader is required to work collaboratively with the Commissioner of Police and his senior executive team to deliver a high level of policing services across the Northern Territory.:

An executive contract for up to four years may be offered.
