AHG Refrigerated Logistics provide temperature controlled local and interstate transport services between all major capital cities in Australia by road and rail, along with cold storage and distribution services of fresh produce, meat, dairy, confectionary and manufactured foods within stringent HACCP, and local authority guidelines.

Our business continues to evolve, and with this development and growth comes increased opportunities for the right people to be a part of our exciting future. We are looking for a Facilities Supervisor who will report to the Facilities Manager VIC/SA/ QLD.

This role will be responsible for operating and managing the maintenance and repair of plant and equipment, infrastructure and engineering services to ensure compliance with relevant operational standards, service delivery levels, safety practices and related statutory requirements to ensure transport and warehouse operations occur without disruption to critical plant and equipment on a 24 hour / 7 day basis.

We are looking for someone who can become an integral part of our business, embracing responsibilities including ensuring our facility complies with both internal and external audit standards and operates at maximum efficiency and effectiveness, supporting our goal to maintain the best refrigerated food transport, distribution and storage business in the country.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all plant, equipment and facility is maintained to the highest standards
  • Overseeing maintenance activities and projects to ensure suppliers provide and effective and efficient service and quality standard of work
  • Building and maintaining strong commercial relationships with external work contractors, providers and service groups
  • Developing and scheduling robust preventative maintenance programs to meet HACCP, WHS auditing programs and to work within budget requirements
  • Ensuring all contractors and suppliers are site inducted, licensed/accredited/insured and comply with all company policies and procedures relevant to their work

The ideal candidate will have carpentry trade qualifications with welding skills. A fitter and turner background is desired but not essential.
