Senior Insurance Broking Account Manager - Commercial & Corporate

The Company:

Our client is a well-respected and reputable insurance brokerage that offers end to end Commercial General Insurance services for Commercial and Corporate clients. They are currently seeking a Senior Account Manager to take control of a Corporate General Insurance portfolio within this firm's Gold Coast Broking firm

The Role:

As the Senior Account Manager you will lead and mentor some juniors within the team, you will provide them with technical advice, leadership and you will be instrumental in mentoring them with their careers. As the Account Manager you will also be responsible for a portfolio of Corporate clients.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of General Insurance business
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients as well as building relationships with Underwriters and Insurers
  • Quoting on new business
  • Attending weekly face-to-face client meetings 

The Successful Candidate will have:

  • Tier 1 or Diploma qualified in General Insurance Broking
  • Minimum 7+ years Broking experience
  • Experience working across all Commercial General Insurance lines including exposure to some Middle Market and Corporate Accounts
  • Relationship building skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor
