Customer Service Consultant - FT Shift Roster

Our Roadside Contact Centre requires two Customer Service Consultant on a permanent full time shift roster basis to work in its team providing exceptional customer service to our members processing handling calls relating to RAC Roadside products.   

What will you be doing?

Key responsibilities for this position involve receiving and processing incoming calls and carrying out associated outgoing calls relating to:

  • Providing solutions that meet members motoring needs
  • Roadside (metro and country) breakdown
  • Batteries and Tyres queries and bookings
  • National Assistance Programme
  • Membership
  • Auto Service bookings
  • Case management and processing of extended benefits
  • RAC products and services

This role is offered on a permanent full-time rotational shift basis working Monday to Sunday between the hours of 6.00am to 11.00pm (essential). This role starts Monday, 14 October with the first two weeks of employment consisting of training from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.

What are we looking for in you?

  • Previous customer service consultant experience (contact centre experience desirable)
  • Proven experience in achieving KPI’s and objectives individually and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • The ability to work under pressure while staying calm and motivated
  • An ability to adapt to and facilitate change in a workplace
  • Strong systems experience and the ability to pick up new systems quickly

This important customer focused role requires:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
  • Good listening skills along with a friendly personality with a genuine desire to help people
  • Ability to problem solve, make decisions and be solutions oriented
