IT Support (Junior Technician)

DTMT Construction specialises in major civil construction projects in the mining and resource sectors throughout Australia.

DTMT is currently recruiting for a Junior IT Support Technician to assist the IT Team in the Bibra Lake Head Office.

 

The main responsibilities of the role include;

  • Process all construction division service requests, via Phone and Email Track and ensure user satisfaction and awareness of the support process throughout the life of a support issue
  • IP telephony (VOIP)
  • Resolve installation, licensing and basic configuration issues where possible
  • Identify and resolve hardware and software problems as requested
  • Install new hardware and software as requested
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department's procedures, systems and policies
  • Ensure the effective, reliable and relevant documentation is completed

 

This role is well suited to individuals who have recently completed their degree qualifications in:

  • IT, computer engineering, systems engineering, computer science or related disciplines.

 

Essential skills and experience(s) will include but are not limited to:

  • Windows Server 2003, 2008 and XP operating systems Microsoft Office 2003 & 2007
  • Computer Hardware Peripherals
  • LAN & WAN technologies and devices
  • Citrix* MOSS*
  • Strong technical skills and an ability to learn new technologies and products quickly
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Professional communication skills

*In the above areas DTMT anticipates some in-house training will be required.
