Monash IVF Group employs approximately 600 passionate staff together with over 100 doctors across its 20 Australian fertility clinics and 17 ultrasound practices.  

About the role:

Reporting to the Laboratory Team Leader, this position exists to coordinate and provide high quality endocrinology/biochemistry and Andrology services to all Monash IVF clinics in New South Wales. 

In addition this position will provide technical and administrative support to the Laboratory team as well as be required to work the weekend roster.

The successful candidate will join a high performing, collaborative and cohesive team who continuously provide exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities include:
  • Identification and preparation of blood samples for testing
  • Process and analyse blood specimens
  • Perform hormone and serology assays utilising an automated blood analyser machine
  • Trouble-shoot the blood analyser machine
  • Prepare stock solutions for laboratory use
  • Order and maintain stock, equipment and consumables
  • Perform semen analysis including sperm concentration, motility, morphology and anti-sperm antibody testing
  • Perform routine sperm preparation for inseminations
  • Escort patients to collection rooms
  • Accurate reporting and recording of results
  • Provide excellent service and care to customers and clients
  • Comply with accreditation protocols and laboratory procedures
Ideally you will bring:
  • A degree in Biological/Health Science with a particular emphasis on pathology and/or reproductive biology and/or embryology
  • Previous laboratory experience  
  • Knowledge of Pathology practices and accreditation including NATA
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • A focus on timely outcomes with the ability to prioritise
  • A willingness to work collaboratively within a small multidisciplinary team
  • Attention to detail focus
  • A positive attitude and ability to take initiative
  • Advanced computer literacy skills
