Administration Officer

Administration Officer
Classification: Part-time (18 hours per week)
Location: IRT Academy, Wollongong

IRT Group is one of Australia’s largest community-based seniors’ lifestyle and care providers. With almost 50 years’ experience, we provide aged care, home care and lifestyle solutions to almost 8000 customers in NSW, the ACT and Queensland. IRT Academy is a Registered Training Organisation offering accredited qualifications in Aged Care and Management.


We are looking for a motivated and organised individual to join the admin team at IRT Academy on a part-time basis. The Administration Officer is responsible for providing high quality administration support to the Academy team, while also providing exceptional customer service to IRT staff and students. This role offers flexibility, with the 18 hours per week being worked over four days per week.


About the role:

  • Responding to student enquiries via phone, email, walk-ins and social media
  • Processing student enrolment paperwork and payments
  • Coordinating student work placement hours
  • Accurate data entry into the Academy’s online Learning Management System
  • Electronic filing of student records
  • General office administration support


To be successful, you will have:

  • Previous experience in an administration role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven organisational skills
  • Demonstrated willingness to work as part of a team
  • The ability to plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines
  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy
  • An ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office products
  • Certificate III in Business Administration (desirable)
