Laboratory Assistant Part Time Bendigo (Fixed term maternity leave)

Through the long term relationships with these organisations and our public hospital contacts, Clinical Labs is now the leading provider of Hospital/Specialist pathology services in Australia. We see our future in the industry as taking a leadership role in science, technology, people and process. With 88 accredited pathology laboratories and over 1020 collection centres, we have a strong footprint across Australia.

Australian Clinical Labs is seeking a Laboratory Assistant (2 days a week, with additional shifts to cover leave) to join our team of Scientists, Technicians, Lab Assistant and Clerks providing a service to Bendigo Health, surrounding hospitals/healthcare facilities and the community. The role encompasses a wide variety of work across all disciplines of the laboratory and will require participation in a 24/7 rotating roster.

This position involves working in a fast paced environment and will be suitable for an individual who prides themselves in the level of accuracy in their work.  The successful applicant will have previous clinical laboratory experience and the ability to work shifts Monday to Sunday on a 24 hour roster. This position includes Specimen reception

  • Data entry
  • Customer service
  • Assisting Scientists
  • General Lab duties

To be considered for the role you will need to possess the following:

  • Experience in Pathology and/or a laboratory environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage workload effectively
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A qualifications in a pathology related discipline will be viewed favourably.
