About the Role

CareSouth are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Manager Southern NSW/ACT to join the Goulburn, NSW team on a full time, permanent basis.

Under the direction of the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for leading a small, collaborative and extremely passionate team of Caseworkers, Carer Recruitment Caseworkers and Residential OOHC Support Workers to positively impact the lives of children and young people. We are seeking a positive and engaging leader, one who is resilient and ehibits CareSouth's values of Respect, Accountability, Compassion, Integrity and Accountability and can guide their team on this journey. 

As the Program Manager you will be able to juggle mutilple hats and enjoy a role where no two days are the same. A strong background in child protection is essential for this role as you will provide advice and support to your team on child protection decisions and liaise with external stakeholders advocating for our children and young people. 

In order to be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional experience- 5+ years (ideally in a leadership capacity)
  • Knowledge of program management aimed at ensuring families stay connected
  • Experience in designing and implementing programs/services
  • Knowledge of client groups and/or issues related to the program areas
  • Sound understanding of most organisational functions e.g. HR, IT, Finance
  • Sounds understanding of standards required by legislation and professional bodies
  • Demonstrated ability to think and plan strategically
  • Proven networking and community/stakeholder engagement ability
  • Demonstrated experience addressing and negotiating conflict, problem solving and high level communication skills
  • Recent experience in the Community Services/ Child Protection sector
