About the Role
We are looking for a bright, committed and hardworking Paralegal to join our growing Asbestos practice based in our Melbourne CBD office. The successful candidate will need to possess the ability to manage a high workload whilst sustaining high quality and be practical and proactive in assisting the team. Strong written communication and research skills will also be vital. More importantly, the ability to empathise and manage our clients will be a necessity. Experience in a legal environment is also highly desirable. We have the flexibility to offer the role on either a full-time or part-time bases, either 4 or 5 days per week, and would suit a student wanting to gain experience in personal injuries law.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting of legal and client correspondence;
  • Attendance at client interviews and summarising notes;  
  • Legal research;
  • Preparation of chronologies;
  • Calculation of special damages;
  • Assistance with business development activities;
  • Communication with clients as required; and
  • All other general duties as required.

Skills & experience we’re looking for:


• An understanding of our client base and the ability to display empathy and compassion;
• Capability to conduct complex legal research;
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team; and
• High attention to detail
