Assistant Accountant


As an Assistant Accountant at Thales you’ll work with a range of stakeholders, including the senior leadership team.  You’ll also benefit from working in an innovative Finance team within the corporate function of a large global organisation.  

What you’ll do 

  • Review and produce monthly reconciliations, identifying actions to clear outstanding aged transactions and justify balances
  • Assist in Accounts Receivable tasks
  • Provide inputs to the Tax department for tax analysis
  • Preparation of journal entries for approval 
  • Contribute to the production of month end and year end accounts
  • Actively and effectively participate in continuous process improvements and initiatives.

About You
  • You’ll be a clear communicator and enjoy collaborating
  • You’ll enjoy optimising business performance and processes
  • Comfortable in high volume processing environments, used to meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality standards
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable and some experience in executive and senior key stakeholder management
  • Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent degree in Accounting member of professional accounting body (or comparable)
  • Open to / studying for CPA or other equivalent post-graduate studies
