People Coordinator

The West Coast Eagles is a dynamic and exciting brand that prides itself on its core values and unique culture. We are entering an exciting time at the Club with our recent move to our new elite training and administration facility at Mineral Resources Park (Lathlain) and as we launch our AFLW team for the 2020 season.

We are looking for a People Coordinator to join our Finance, People & Business Operations department. This full time position which will provide HR generalist services to the club, including staff recruitment and induction, learning & development, health, safety and wellbeing, HRIS management and HR planning and administration.
Reporting to the Manager – People & Risk, this role will be responsible for:

• Recruitment and Selection: end to end recruitment process, talent sourcing, interview scheduling and candidate testing
• Employee Induction, On-boarding and Exit Processes
• Learning and Development: end to end management of L&D process, bookings & internal e-learning system use
• Workplace Health & Safety: manage WHS training, manage Workers Compensation claims process, assist with Employee Health & Wellbeing program, chair the workplace health, safety and wellbeing committee.
• Manage Work Experience, Vocation Placement & Volunteer process
• Manage HR Administration for our staff, support staff, volunteers and contractors, including: ensuring the HRIS is up-to-date, assisting with roll out of Performance Management procedures, managing all employee documentation, data management and storage, and internal/external system and record updates as required.
• HR policy and procedures maintenance
• External Reporting: manage compliance training, Working with Children and Child Protection legislative requirements, Workplace Gender Equality Reporting
• Act as the HR Representative on the RAP Committee and Social Engagement Committee.

This role will also assist with HR projects, including employee engagement surveys & initiatives, development of position descriptions & KPI’s and driving core values across the club.

The successful candidate should have:
• Minimum of 3 years previous HR experience
• Strong knowledge of HR administration.
• Strong knowledge of OH&S legislation.
• Competent in public speaking and delivering training sessions.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Exceptional organisational & prioritisation skills.
• High level of written & verbal skills.
• Ability to use initiative.
• High level of attention to detail.
• A pro-active, positive and enthusiastic approach.
• Capability and capacity to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and projects
• Willingness to accept advice and assist others as required.

There is a requirement for all full time staff to assist on match days and at other events as required by the club, which includes weekends. The remuneration and benefits provided factor in this requirement.
