Aquatics Coordinator

Macquarie University Sport & Aquatics Centre are seeking a full time Aquatics Coordinator to join our newly established Aquatics Programs team at our North Ryde campus.

Reporting directly to the Manager, Aquatics Programs the position will have an exciting role to contribute to the development of new and evolving programs and member retention strategies.

As the successful candidate you will lead by example, dedicating some time to work directly in the pool teaching, to support your teams ongoing training and development, while evaluating service and program quality.

Please note this position may require weekend work, our venue operates 7 days a week, varying between 5.30am - 10.00pm, availability for early morning and evening work may be required.

Essential Criteria

  • 3 years experience in a similar position within the aquatics industry with considerable team leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation of member engagement strategies to maximise member retention and participation
  • Austswim Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety and/or ASCTA Silver/Gold Level coaching accreditation (or ability to obtain)
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • NSW Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain before commencement)

The Aquatics Coordinator position requires working with children, the elderly and other vulnerable communities, a National Police Check will be required.
