Accountant

LMW is a leading national valuation firm within the commercial, residential, regional and rural valuation sectors.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Accountant to join our team in Sydney Head Office working closely with the Finance Manager and CFO. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and challenging but rewarding environment. We are looking for candidates who have proven abilities in multi entity and complex accounting, who have a desire to have a long-term and exciting career.

The role involves:

  • Prepayments
  • Accruals
  • Fixed Assets
  • Monthly Commission calculations; payments and reconciliations
  • Leave Provision
  • General Ledger Account Reconciliations
  • Prepare and lodge monthly BAS for LMW Group and LMW (WA)
  • Month end journal preparation
  • Assist in the preparation and lodgement of FBT
  • Recharges
  • Assisting Revenue Accountant with bank entries
  • Intercompany Reconciliation
  • Identify and assist in implementation of any improvements of accounting processes/procedures
  • Assist Finance Manager to ensure that all statutory reporting is processed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ad hoc duties as required by Finance Manager and CFO

  • Friendly team player with energy and enthusiasm
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel capability
  • CPA/CIMA preferable
