About the program

ParentsNext is a pre-employment program funded by the Department of Jobs and Small Business that assists parents with young children to identify their education and employment goals, develop a pathway to achieve their goals and link them to activities and services in the local community.

About the role

Based in our Taree office, we are excited to be recruiting a Part-Time Administration Assistant in our ParentsNext team to June 2020 with the possibility of ongoing employment should the contract be renewed.

In this role you will be the face of our Taree office. You will be focused on providing a high level of administrative support to the ParentsNext mentors and Team Leader. Successful applicants will be highly motivated and able to work unsupervised.

    Essential:

  • High level of computer literacy
  • Experience using client management  systems
  • Previous experience in a fast paced administration role with the ability to prioritise workload
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Confident, articulate and professional communication abilities 
  • Highly motivated, initiative and achievement orientated with a strong focus on team development and team results and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work effectively and empathically with vulnerable parents being pro-active, positive and caring in manner at all times
  • Establishes good relationships with people at all levels, colleagues and external networks
  • Highly personable and professionally presented at all times
  • Values diversity and is positive about the strengths and potential of people: with disability, injury or condition who may also be from different cultures, of differing ages, of differing physical abilities, or other differences.
  • Drivers licence 
  • Valid Working With Children Check
  • The successful applicant will need to provide a National Police Check prior to commencement

    Desirable:

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience
  • Claims experience 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, ESS or a similar application
