Business Administrator / Assistant to the Commercial Manager

Due to a recent promotion and continued company growth, a position has been created for Human Resources Administrator / Assistant to the Commercial Manager. The position is to work for one of Australia's leading building contractors specialising in interior design and fit out.

In this role, you will play an integral position in supporting the Commercial Manager and in Business Operations across the company. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys a fast-paced varied position.

Key Responsibilities include; 

  • EA support to the Commercial Manager 
  • Assisting with office management
  • Management of one direct report 
  • Assisting the commercial manager various projects including Asset Management, Fleet management, Building Licence, new office relocation and insurance claims
  • Assisting with the implementation of various new systems, process and IT platforms across the business 
  • Assisting with IT & telecommunications 
  • Assisting with various business improvement projects 
  • Management of Human Resources administration including; Issuing New starters & exit interviews 
  • Staff review process end to end (annual, probation) 
  • Immigration administration
  • Company wellness scheme - Flu Shots 
  • Various document organisation and preparation
  • Various stakeholder management 

The successful candidate will have the following skill set;

  • All round business and office management  experience. 
  • Experience in a varied position working for a medium sized company
  • Experience in HR administration 
  • A flexible approach and someone who enjoys a varied position working across all areas of the business. 
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong IT Skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment
  • Experience working within Property, Construction, Engineering or Design industries would be preferred but not essential.
