The Position

St John of God Bunbury Hospital is a 145-bed not-for-profit private hospital, providing health care to the Bunbury community and those that live in the south west of Western Australia.

Our Theatre department currently seek motivated our Patient Care Assistants provide a high standard of care to patients, including patient transport, and an integral support to the nursing care team. 

These positions will be offered on a Casual basis. The successful applicants must be available to accept a range of shifts from Monday to Friday. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Certificate III in Health Service Assistant (Client/Patient Services) or similar; or currently studying a health related field at a tertiary level.
  • Demonstrated well-developed verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to identify work priorities.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Manual Handling practices, basic cleanliness, food handling, and hygiene standards.
