Administration / Reception – Seasons Aged Care

Seasons is a vibrant aged care organisation with communities located across South East Queensland.  We aim to create a progressive alternative in aged care for our elders and their families through Private Aged Care.  Making the Seasons vision a day-to-day reality is a team of dedicated individuals whose sole professional commitment is to the happiness and well-being of Seasons residents and their families.

We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking and mature-minded Administration and Reception Officer to join the team at our Mango Hill community.

This is a permanent part time position of 5 days per week.

About you

Reporting to the Community Manager the successful applicant will display professionalism and leadership skills, brining energy and enthusiasm into the role.  You will be service oriented, possess exceptional people skills and be passionate about providing exceptional customer service.

You will work to ensure a high standard of service in the reception area and provide associated administrative and hospitality services for residents, staff, service users, visitors and other stakeholders.

The position requires a highly confident, competent all-rounder with previous experience working in aged care desirable.  You will have excellent interpersonal communication skills, including tact, problem solving, negotiation and relationship building skills with a broad range of people as well as an ability to establish appropriate priorities and meet deadlines.  Advanced Microsoft Office skills would also be advantageous.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide a welcoming and professional environment for residents, staff and visitors
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and resident requests in a courteous, timely manner
  • Assist with lifestyle and hospitality services
  • Collect and disseminate mail and deliveries
  • Coordinate office administration including filing and reports
  • Process resident accounts and banking
  • Ensure privacy, confidentiality and dignity of residents and staff

Key Selection Criteria

  • Empathy for and a desire to work with the aged
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Current National Police check
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • High standard of personal grooming
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in a similar role highly desirable
  • Relevant qualification in office administration desirable
  • Flexibility with hours when workloads demand
