Mantra One Sandy Bay Road offers spacious and refurbished self-contained studios and apartments with four star facilities. From humble beginnings as Hobart’s first ever automatic phone exchange, this boutique hotel caters for all guests and any length of stay. We’re nestled in one of the most desirable locations in the City, right next door to St. David’s Park and Salamanca Place –everything you need is within a close stroll.

 

We are currently looking for a Jack of all trades to join our busy team as a
Guest Service Agent on a casual basis which will involve doing Maintenance Assistant work too.

 

This role calls for someone  who likes a bit of variety in their day. You will be the first point of contact for our guests, your strong communication skills will shine through in this role by delivering service excellence from check in to check out and everywhere in between.

A wide variety of tasks will ensure that every day is different from selling the hotel’s facilities, taking reservations, maintaining guest accounts to recommending and selling tours to local attractions but that’s not all, this role calls for someone who knows their way around the toolbox as well!  In a nutshell you will also be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all rooms, facilities and common areas of the property. A real jack of all trades.

 

You may have previous experience in similar roles, or you may be a customer service superstar in a different industry, either way we would love to hear from you.

 

There are a few things that will make you shine in this role, a genuine customer service focus with a dedication to always making our guest’s smile during their stay. You must be physically fit, have a get-up-and-go attitude and be someone who won’t stop until the job is completed in a safe and presentable manner. We are seeking someone who goes the extra mile to provide a memorable guest experience with the ability to multitask, work under pressure and think on your feet to quickly resolve issues.
