People and Culture Officer

  • Generalist People and Culture role encompassing all areas of Human Resources.

Richmond Fellowship Tasmania (RFT) is the largest community-based providers of community mental health services in Tasmania. Our vision is to ‘inspire a healthy community, where people are leaders in their own lives’ and our mission is to 'deliver excellence through person centered, recovery and wellbeing services'.

Richmond Futures is a fee for service based organisation and wholly owned subsidiary of Richmond Fellowship Tasmania. It is funded by primarily the NDIS into our Supported Independent Living Program, Direct Service and Coordination of Support Programs. Richmond Futures prides itself on promoting choice and control for all NDIS participants and deliver key services that help them achieve their goals.

This position will support the delivery of the People and Culture strategic plan as well as day to day people and culture activities. It is a rounded human resources role with exposure to all elements of the area including but not limited to; recruitment and selection, organisational development, learning and development, induction, administration and industrial relations. The position is well suited to a new graduate or someone with under two years’ experience working within a people and culture/human resources role.

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources of equivalent.
  • Positive and professional customer service mentality.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Business partnering ability.
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience and ability to learn new systems quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and work both independently and cooperatively.
  • Knowledge of privacy and confidentiality requirements.
  • Effective communication skills.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the Fair Work Act, Workplace Health and Safety Act and Workers Compensation Act.
  • Experience working in a people and culture role
