Throughout our history, Simonds Homes, as part of the Simonds Group, has developed an enviable reputation for building Australia’s best homes. Our goal is not only to provide our customers with high quality, affordable homes in some of the best land developments in Australia, but to ensure that they receive comprehensive and outstanding customer service throughout their home building journey.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Construction/Site Supervisor to join our team in the Vic Country North area (Albury/Wodonga/Wangaratta) on a full-time, on-going basis. As a Construction Supervisor, your primary focus is to manage a portfolio of home builds from site start through to the final inspection and maintenance stage. Reporting to the Regional Building Manager, some key accountabilities of this role include:

  • Coordinate and manage trades, establish a reliable trade base
  • Build strong and ongoing working relationships with clients, trades and key stakeholders
  • Ensure correct building practices and procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Ensure quality homes are built within set time frames and budgeted guidelines
  • Enforce and adhere to OH&S regulations
  • Day to day management of trades on site, suppliers, completion of paperwork and other admin tasks
  • Weekly KPI reporting

WHO YOU ARE

Ideally, we're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience supervising residential home builds, residential construction experience and/or a strong trade background (but more importantly, an eagerness to learn and be a part of a cohesive team)
  • A thorough understanding of Australian building regulations, WHSE regulations and Quality Assurance (QA) systems (mandatory)
  • Have completed the General Construction Induction Course/White Card (mandatory)
  • Hold a valid driver's licence (mandatory)
  • Solid project management skills, including experience in managing and developing a trade network
  • Able to effectively communicate with a diverse customer group, including what it means to deliver excellent customer service
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong IT/administration skills

And just as importantly, an eagerness to learn and be a part of a supportive team.

WHY JOIN US?

Aside from a competitive salary package inclusive of a fully maintained motor vehicle (car, fuel card, e-Tag) and job bonuses, as an established and growing national business Simonds can offer you a variety of career opportunities. In addition, there are fantastic benefits across a wide range of products and services including a generous discount on our award winning homes as well as all the great things that go in them, discounted health insurance, a free employee well-being program, Simonds "Reward Days", subsidized training with our RTO Builders Academy Australia and a safe and friendly workplace.
